The Kidwelly Industrial Museum is on the site of the former Tinplate Works which closed in 1941.
Come and find out how tinplate for cans and cups was made. You can see the original machinery and buildings and see exhibits about coal mining, brick manufacture and other industries and crafts.
On display is machinery which typically was used in the local Welsh industries, including a reconstruction of the steam winding engine and colliery headgear from Morlais Colliery and the two original Foden engines in the hot rolling mill, which date back to approximately 1870.
Opening Times:
Easter: (two weeks school holidays) Monday-Friday 10am - 4.30pm Staurday and Sunday 12noon-4.30pm
May Day weekend: Friday -Monday (same times)
Spring Bank Holiday weekend until 30th September: open 7 days a week until 30th September (same times)
